This eighteen-day all-inclusive Kenya Photo Safari will take you to five of the most stunning and exclusive wildlife destinations in Kenya. The itinerary and accommodations of this photographic tour have been designed to meet photographers’ specific needs and interests.
Not only will we be based in private conservancies where we will have the freedom to go off-road as much as we like, but we’ll also be able to stay at sightings as long as we want and pursue our photography in the comfort of spacious open game drive vehicles at the optimum shooting times of the day. We’ll have exclusive use of our camps and lodges, creating the opportunity to build the entire experience around our photography. It’s unlikely that we’ll see any other vehicles during the safari portion of this trip.
Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks, famous for its large elephant herds and majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania. The Park is also known for its large lion and buffalo populations, including the famous white lions and tawny lions. Be prepared to photograph Big Five animals with Mount Kilimanjaro as your backdrop!
The Solio Ranch or Solio Game Reserve is a privately owned reserve dedicated to protecting, breeding, and conserving the black rhino. Solio Ranch is recognized as one of the most successful private rhino breeding reserves in Kenya. Its breeding program has been so successful that rhino from Solio has been used to stock game reserves all over Africa.
Considered one of the top five wildlife parks in Africa, Samburu National Reserve is home to elephants, leopards, lions, and hundreds of other African birds and mammals. Enjoy the opportunity to see rare animals such as the Grey Zebra, Long-Necked Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, and the Beisa Oryx.
Lake Nakuru is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous lake in Kenya. One of the last strongholds of the black rhino and white rhino, Lake Nakuru is most famous for its prolific population of flamingos and eagles.
Many wildlife experts consider the Maasai Mara Game Reserve to be the singular greatest national Park for viewing nearly every species of African wildlife on the continent. The savannahs of the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Mara in Kenya form Africa’s most diverse ecosystem and possibly the world’s best big game viewing. Many naturalists consider the Great Migration to be the most fantastic wildlife experience on the planet. Each year, the Serengeti in Tanzania and Masai Mara in Kenya play host to the migration of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 350,000 gazelles. In June and July, the wildebeest migrate into the northern Serengeti, crossing the Grumeti River – these bloodthirsty river crossings have been made famous in many wildlife documentaries. We will be in the Mara at the height of the Great Migration.
