Boudoir Photography

In Boudoir Photography, students learn how to work with models, lights, and sets to develop a broad range of fundamental boudoir capture skills.  You will learn how to pose the most flattery angles for your model and how to light in a dramatic way.  Learn how you can you use the set besides just a background and how to work with the wardrobe.

Boudoir photography is a delicate, intimate photography genre that takes time to develop. This is the perfect workshop to learn the fundamentals of why this is an important area of portraiture and how to generate a comfort zone so that photographer and boudoir subject can collectively arrive to a stunning and meaningful image. No matter the size and age of the model subject there are many lighting and posing techniques that will create an alluring perception for a final image filled with beauty and emotional reach.

Course Description

In this class, students work with models, lights, and sets to develop a broad range of fundamental boudoir capture skills. Students explore a variety of poses, lighting patterns that flatter and accent the subjects and practice the all-important communication skills because successful boudoir photography is all about making your client feel confident and beautiful. The instructor provides hands on instruction and students learn to achieve optimum technical results and develop creative choices for further boudoir posing choices, sets, and light enhancement. Students leave with knowledge and confidence in the boudoir workflow.

  • DSLR Camera and 1 or more zoom lenses
  • One or more portable flash unit (recommended)
